Project Manager - Delhi, India

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering, leading and managing India-based IT activities. Duties must be executed to streamline development process, maximize output and deliver projects within time and budget.

The Project Manager reports to the CEO of RSD.

Primary Focus:

• Coordinate with the Sales Team over Project Details; provide Technical analysis, support and architecture level design inputs for the preparation of RFPs
• Prepare Time Estimates and Project plans by taking the entire responsibility of the project from the time of the project contract till the project delivery
• Communicating with the Clients and Onshore Teams over project requirements and status
• Preparing and executing project plans by allocating tasks for each project by assuring timely delivery in the most cost effective manner
• Motivate, mentor and guide the team of Software engineers and Test teams
• Recruit and retain engineering talents by preparing timely resource estimates
• Assure adherence to quality standards by the Engineering team while designing or developing applications
• Perform code reviews on the timely basis to assure compliance with coding standards
• Perform design architectures for products and customized applications
• Act as a project lead or technical expert.
• Provide support maintaining released products or applications, and existing code
• Develop, and run initial tests of applications modules. Verify, track, and fix 'bugs'
• Design and develop examples for demonstrations
• Assist in training development and test teams
• Coordinate and provide high-level, technical, and developmental support for released products or applications

Qualifications:

• B.E / B. Tech / M.E / M.Tech (preferably in Computers / I.T) from a premier institute with overall experience of 8-10 years
• Minimum of atleast 6 years experience in Software Products and Services Development, preferably in web based applications using Microsoft Technologies [ASP, VB, COM, .Net, C#, XML/XSL, SQL Server]
• Should have at least 2 years experience in project management with the Onshore-Offshore delivery environment
• Should be very strong in analyzing Application Specifications and suggest strategic and technology inputs to the sales team
• Should have good hands on experience with preparing time estimates and delivery
• Should have a fair knowledge of the Quality Processes especially ISO and SEI CMM lever quality standards
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
